Lechem Mi-Shai: an ordering site for a sourdough bakery
Lechem Mi-Shai is an ordering site for a sourdough bakery: the customer picks loaves and quantities on their phone, and one tap opens WhatsApp with the order and its total, ready to send to the business. You can see it at lechem-mi-shai.netlify.app.

The story: a gift for a friend
I built Lechem Mi-Shai as a gift for a friend I appreciate, someone who gives with love to many people around him. I decided to give his business this gift: a simple ordering site that does one thing, and does it well.
The problem: orders in free-form messages
In many small businesses, orders arrive as free-form messages, and then the questions start: which bread, how many, at what price. The ordering site sorts that out: the customer picks from a list with prices, and the business gets one clear message.
Ordering in three steps
- Pick loaves from the list, with a price next to each one.
- Set quantities, and the total updates in the bottom bar.
- Fill in a name (and, if you like, a phone number and a note), then send it on WhatsApp.
The site is built for the phone: the list scrolls comfortably, and the total and the send button stay at the bottom of the screen.

Why WhatsApp and not a checkout
For a small business, an online checkout means payment processing, fees and upkeep. Here the order arrives on WhatsApp, where the business already talks to its customers. The button uses WhatsApp's click to chat, which opens a chat with the message already written.
What was built
A one-page site, light and fast, with no admin system and no server: the list, the prices and the message ready for WhatsApp. Exactly what the business needs, and nothing more.
A site like this for your business can be a landing page with a product list or part of a business website, depending on how many products and how much content you have. What I build.
Questions
How do orders from the site reach WhatsApp?
The site builds a tidy message from the customer's choices, with the products, the quantities and the total, and opens WhatsApp with the message ready. The customer just taps send.
Do I need payment processing?
Not necessarily. Lechem Mi-Shai takes no payment on the site: the order is sent on WhatsApp. If you want to take payment on the site, that is an online store, which starts from $3,790.
How much does a site like this cost?
It depends on how many products there are and what the site needs to do. All the packages and prices are on the home page, and after a short conversation you'll know what fits.
